Donation Requests – Frequently Asked Questions
- Why are you no longer accepting food requests? We made the decision to no longer discount or donate food based on our mission of guest delight. The high volume of donations can negatively impact our operations as it can potentially strain our people and facilities. We wish to donate more each year on an ongoing basis. We believe this process will allow us to do so.
- Can I use gift cards donated to purchase food for my event? Gift cards donated are intended for use in auctions, raffles, door prizes or in similar situations. Those receiving gift cards at your event are welcome to use the gift cards in any of our Austin locations.
- Why do you have a primary charity? Partnering with a charity long-term allows our team members to get involved in positively impacting our community. This partnership has allowed us to better leverage our resources and maximizes the impact we have.
- Why did you choose to partner with Austin Habitat for Humanity? After meeting with and reviewing a number of honorable charities, we decided to partner long-term with Austin Habitat for Humanity because they align with our company’s core values, provide a broad range of volunteer opportunities, and allow us the greatest opportunity to impact the city of Austin through many years to come.
- When will I hear back on approval of my request? Our goal is to respond to your request as quickly as possible. You will be contacted within 30 days of submitting a request.
- Where do I direct requests for Rudy’s outside of Austin? For Rudy’s locations outside of the Austin area, please visit the website www.rudys.com.
- How do I receive my gift cards? You may choose to pick up approved gift cards at our Corporate Office or have them mailed directly to you.
- Will you consider trading food for advertising? Media trade will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Only advertising associated with official media outlets will be considered. If you feel your advertising opportunity fits this description, please contact Trey Goldsmith at (512) 413-7186.
