K&N Management received the nation’s highest Presidential honor for innovation and performance excellence. Awarded annually by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is named for former Secretary of Commerce Malcolm Baldrige, whose managerial excellence contributed to long-term improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of government. K&N Management is just the second restaurant group to be recognized with the prestigious national honor.
The award is a tremendous validation of how K&N Management compares to other companies across the country and establishes it as a role model business. The recognition is extremely important to K&N Management because it affirms our 10-year journey towards achieving a world-class level of excellence. The award is given to role model organizations that demonstrate exceptional performance in areas of management including leadership, strategic planning, customer service, workforce focus, process management, data analysis knowledge management, and results.
Applying the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria in order to be considered for the award was a rigorous process that began with a 50-page application submitted by K&N Management. Then, a team of eight certified examiners conducted a comprehensive site visit, spending three days verifying every aspect of the application and assessing K&N’s quality approach and processes.
Our success is due to concept design, operational excellence, and our focus of meeting and exceeding key guest requirements. We consistently deliver high quality product served quickly and accurately by friendly team members through excellent training and benefits. Our excellent operations create a great financial return, which positively impacts our stakeholders and the community. Applying the Baldrige Criteria and systematically evaluating and improving our approaches are critical to our success.
As a Baldrige recipient, we will continually strive to learn, improve and grow.
